Can wall recesses in hallways support the weight of heavy photos?

It depends on the type of recess built. Some high quality builders will use thicker walls to ensure that the wall can support heavier weights. Always let your designer/ builder know if you require the recess to hang specific artworks (especially heavy decorative picture frames) to insure the recess is built to meet your needs.
